A Poet's Realisation
"Take off the mask", She cried. Drop the facade. Let the curtain fall. Life is a tree, The leaves will fall and it will wither. Pull out the roots, they run deep. The scars will heal. A fallen comrade. A relative lost. Does it bring sorrow? What will it cost To be where it matters not? What is a throbbing heart Without it's blood? Nothing but a sobbing soul, Devoid of sadness. The path is obscure, the judgement clouded. There is a need to hasten, To move with the speed of light. Run away from dawn, Into eternal night. Nothing can be true or false. Only one thing remains And it will fade away. "Take off the mask", she cried.
