WORDS WRIT ON WATER
I looked at the photograph, Tears, unknown, flowed through my heart. I thought I had moved on But the past followed me from the start. Those were such happy times, Carefree, not a worry, as it should be. There are no regrets, But I doubt if what I was, was me. Would we be friends now If I had spoken to you every day? Would I have fallen in love If I had told him that I felt that way? So much has changed, And all the memories have drifted apart. Nobody can hear me from here. I want to change the way we part. The hourglass beside me, Shows the sands slipping by. There is nothing I can do, To stop the time that is passing by. One last, desperate breath. I picture my wish for the last time. “Would you cry over my grave?” “Yes. I will.” whisper the sands of time.
